Mr. Lee Kwan Di, the visionary founder of the Lee Group, was born in Zhejiang, Ningbo. He began working in an enamel factory at the young age of 12 and, by the age of 20, had already established his own enamel factory in Ningbo. As the business grew, the factory was relocated first to Shanghai and later to Hong Kong.
In the 1960s, Mr. Lee Kwan Di officially founded the Lee Group. Recognizing the immense potential of Africa’s natural resources and vast markets, he introduced the popular enamelware from Hong Kong and established the company’s first factory in Nigeria.
Lee Man Loong, originally from Ningbo, moved to Hong Kong at the age of 9. At 18, he continued his education abroad and later built a diversified business group with strong operations in manufacturing, agriculture, and energy, holding a significant market share across Africa.
His companies cover key sectors such as footwear, steel, building materials, and food industries. In recognition of his achievements, he was honored in 2018 as a “Reform and Opening-Up 40th Anniversary • Outstanding Ningbo Entrepreneur.”
Mr. Lee Sheau Fung began his career with the Lee Group as a teenage intern and formally joined the company after completing his education. With over 30 years of experience in business development and management, he has played a pivotal role in the Group’s expansion and success.
One of his early achievements was transforming the polybag business into a key pillar of the company. Since 2020, Mr. Lee Sheau Fung has served as Chairman, guiding the overall development of the Group and overseeing daily operations. He is also actively involved in fostering business cooperation between Chinese communities and West African countries.
